Our sandstone is a purely natural extraction from unique sandstone formations in Colorado---unique in that the naturally occuring seams (horizontal bedding planes) enable us to split off large sheets, which result in natural cleft faces. These seams also predetermine the stone thickness.We take these stones of variable thicknesses and sort them to fill the various dimensional orders by saw cutting or snap cutting, or sell them in random-shaped pieces.
